Russia says to unveil flight route of Belgian jets that allegedly killed Syrian civilians

The Russian Defense Ministry said Thursday that it would make public the flight route details of Belgian warplanes that allegedly killed six civilians in Syria earlier this week.

The Russian military said Tuesday that two F-16 fighter jets of the Belgian air force were detected in an airstrike against the village of Hassajek near Aleppo, which left six Syrian civilians dead and at least four wounded. Russia said there were no Russian and Syrian air force planes in thats region.

On Wednesday, Moscow demanded an explanation from the U.S.-led counter-terror coalition over the incident. There are still no reports indicating that Russia has received any response.

The Belgian Defense Ministry has formally denied the accusation, saying that the country's F-16 fighter jets were not in the area and that the planes have been inactive for the past three days.

"I can, with my hand on my heart, confirm that on that day we did not fly over the region in question," Belgian Defense Minister Steven Vandeput was quoted as saying by the country's VRT News.

However, the Russian Defense Ministry indicated on Thursday that Vandeput might not be telling the truth. Brussels has yet to make any comments on the allegation. Endi
