China treasury bond futures close higher Thursday

China's treasury bond futures closed higher on Thursday, with the contract for settlement in December 2016 rising 0.147 percent higher at 102.115 yuan (about 15.17 U.S. dollars).
The March 2017 contract closed 0.118 percent higher at 101.820 yuan. The June 2017 contract closed 0.133 percent higher at 101.560 yuan.
The contracts are agreements to buy or sell treasury bonds at a predetermined price and set date. They allow investors to bet on and profit from the movements in the value of the bonds.
