Czech nominates roster for Karjala Cup

Czech ice hockey coach Josef Jandac announced Wednesday the squad for the Karjala Cup, the second big event of the season after September's World Cup in Toronto.

The Karjala Cup will take place in Helsinki and the Czech town of Plzen on November 3-6.

Jandac called up four newcomers into the team who all play in the top Czech league, including forwards David Kampf, Robin Hanzl, Michal Bulir and substitute goalkeeper Karel Vejmelka.

Czech will play against Sweden on Nov. 3 in Plzen before moving to Helsinki to face Finland on November 5 at Hartwall Arena and play against Russia on November 6.
