Spanish stock market rises 0.96 pct on Wednesday

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.96 percent on Wednesday to close at 8,950.10 points, up from the 8,865.30 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday's session, Banco Santander shares led rises climbing 2.22 percent, followed by Gamesa, BBVA, ArcelorMittal, Banco Sabadell and AENA that rose 1.99 percent, 1.98 percent, 1.96 percent, 1.82 percent and 1.64 percent, respectively.

On the other hand, Bankia shares led falls losing 2.23 percent, followed by Ferrovial, Cellnex, Grifols, Mediaset and Viscofan that lost 0.94 percent, 0.90 percent, 0.63 percent, 0.58 percent and 0.42 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 108 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.12 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Tuesday's closing time. Endit
