A training plane crashed in Central Java province of western Indonesia on Wednesday, leaving two people wounded, a rescuer said.

The Viper Warior plane went down into paddy rice field at Tritih Lor village of Cilacap district at about 8:34 a.m. Jakarta time, said Mulwahyono, coordinator of search and rescue office in the district.

"Two people, the instructor and the student were injured, and they have been rushed into a nearby hospital," he told Xinhua by phone from Cilacap district.

The location of the incident is near to the runway of the airport, Mulwahyono added.

The plane was operated by Perkasa Flying School, according to him. Endit
