Enrique: Barca-Man City is a game football fans should watch

FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique believes possession be vital when his side entertains Manchester City in the Camp Nou Stadium on Wednesday night.

The game between the best two sides in Champions League group C sees the return of former Barca coach, Pep Guardiola to the ground where he made his name as a player and where he led Barca to 14 titles in four years and in his pre-game press conference, Enrique highlighted that Guardiola had already imposed his style on the club.

"We know it will be complicated because of the quality and the talent of their players. They (Manchester City) have changes many things from the past and this version, which is already attractive, will continue to improve," he said.

Manchester City are a more attacking side since Guardiola replaced Manuel Pellegrino at the end of last season and Enrique recognized how he had changed their style of play.

"Guardiola has a massive effect on the way his team plays in every sense of the word. We know they want the ball and they have talent in attack to hurt us," continued the Barca boss, who advised everyone to try and see the game.

"There can't be many better matches for a football fan," commented Enrique, who preferred to take the spotlight away from comparisons between himself and Guardiola.

"It's not a game between coaches, it will be the players who decide the game. I shared many things with him (Guardiola) as a player at Barcelona and with the Spain national team and now it is a privilege to do so at a different level and it is an extra incentive to try and win against a friend,," said Enrique.

Central defender Gerard Pique also spoke to the press and once again insisted that his decision to retire from the Spain national team following the 2018 World Cup finals was not down to pressure from the Spanish press. Endit
