Foreign companies in Iran lead to technology transfer, job creation: official

Foreign companies in Iran will lead to technology transfer and job creation, the semi-official Fars news agency quoted an official as saying on Tuesday.

Mazaheri, Secretary of the 18th International Marine Industries Conference and Offshore Technological Exhibition, added that relevant foreign companies currently in Iran are scoping out investment opportunities in the event which started on Tuesday in Iran's Kish Island lasting until Oct. 21.

The conference, which is organized by the Iranian Association of Naval Architecture and Maritime Engineering in collaboration with other national marine organizations, industries and businesses, will discuss marine economy and management, offshore oil and gas industries, seafaring and marine transportation, rules, standards, health, safety, and marine industry environmental issues, according to Mazaheri.

He added that 500 specialized articles were sent to the conference secretariat out of which 370 articles were admitted by the scientific board and panel of juries in order to be presented to the audience in verbal and poster forms. Endit
