Exports from BiH increase by 2.2 percent in first eight months this year

xports from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) amounted to 6.032 billion KM(3.438 billion U.S. dollars) in the first eight months of this year, 2.2 percent more than that in the same period of 2015, local media reported on Sunday.

According to the data from BiH Agency for Statistics, imports in the same period reached 10.394 billion KM (5.924 billion U.S. dollars), 0.2 percent less than the same period last year.

Exports to EU countries amounted to 4.422 billion KM(2.521 billion U.S. dollars), registering a 3.8 percent increase year on year.

Meanwhile, the real growth of gross domestic product (GDP) in BiH in the second quarter of this year was 1.4 percentage points more than that the same quarter last year, stated the agency for statistics on Friday. Endit
