Shandong Luneng away from CSL relegation zone

Xinhua, October 16, 2016 Adjust font size:

The 1-0 win over Hebei China Fortune was enough for Shandong Luneng to get away from the relegation zone, which got 33 points after the 27th round of Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday.

The 31-year-old striker Papiss Demba Cisse's scored the winner in the fourth minute.

Colombian striker Giovanni Moreno's two goals were not enough for Shanghai Greenland to gain a victory at home as the opponent Henan Jianye managed to equalize the score thanks to Javier Patino's performance as the Philippian striker had two goals as well, one of which was a spectacular overhead scissors shot.

Moreno's header broke the deadlock in the 13th minute for Shanghai Greenland, and Henan Jianye had the equalizer after a forty-minute attempt as the goalkeeper li Shuai couldn't stop Patino's shot going into the net.

Shanghai Greenland took the lead again just three minutes later as Moreno kicked the penalty ball into the net, but Patino hit it back in the 62nd minute as his overhead scissors shot set the score 2-2.
