Oil prices rise as fuel drop offsets crude build

Oil prices climbed on Thursday as declines in U.S. fuel inventories offset the gains in crude stockpiles.

The West Texas Intermediate for November delivery added 0.26 U.S. dollars to settle at 50.44 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while Brent crude for December delivery gained 0.22 U.S. dollars to close at 52.03 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange. Endit
