Xi congratulates Kersti Kaljulaid on election as Estonian president

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday congratulated Kersti Kaljulaid on his election as Estonian president.

In his congratulatory message, Xi said Estonia is China's important cooperation partner in the Baltic region.

China-Estonia relations have made substantial progress since the two countries established diplomatic ties 25 years ago, he said.
