Indian markets close lower

Indian market closed with nosedive on Thursday as the United States released December rate hike signals.

Sensex plunged over 500 points in the afternoon trade and lost the crucial support level of 28,000. Nifty50 also slipped below 8,550 with losses in realty, power, metals and banks stocks.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 27,643.11, 439.23 points or 1.56 percent down compared to the previous close at 28,082.34. Endit
