Cabinet appoints, removes officials

The State Council, China's cabinet, has reshuffled several senior officials, according to a circular issued on Wednesday.

Shen Xiaoming was named vice minister of the Ministry of Education. Du Yubo and Liu Limin no longer hold the posts.

Nie Chenxi will replace Cai Fuchao as head of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.

Pang Changqing was appointed deputy head of National Government Offices Administration, and Zhong Denghua will replace Li Jiajun as president of Tianjin University.

The cabinet decided that Zhang Tao will no longer hold the post of vice governor of the People's Bank of China and removed Deng Yiwu from the post of deputy head of the State Administration of Grain. Endi
