Swiss unemployment unchanged at 3.2 pct in Sept.

The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs reported Monday that Switzerland's unemployment rate stood at 3.2 percent in September this year, with 142,675 people registered as jobless in the confederation.

This represents 183 fewer individuals who were considered as out of work by the authorities last month compared to August's figures.

Youth unemployment (15 to 24 years) also decreased by 3 percent, with 20,027 young adults looking for a job in September.

The number of people finding work increased by 1,579 from August to September, reaching 203,568 by the end of last month.

The state agency also reported that the number of listed job opportunities in the country rose by 229 in September to reach 11,031. Enditem
