3 policemen escape shooting in eastern Saudi Arabia

Three policemen escaped a shooting attack against their police patrol in Qatif in Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, Al Arabiya local news reported on Wednesday.

The patrol was attacked on Tuesday night while guarding a mosque in the area, in which the shooting came from one of the local farms.

The spokesperson for the Eastern Province Police confirmed that no injuries were reported among police personnel or passers-by.

He said that an investigation was launched to identify and arrest the attackers.

A number of policemen and citizens were targeted in shootings by anonymous in the province in the last two years, in which many local people have been calling to remove the farms that are used by terrorists to launch attacks and escape.

Saudi Arabia has been reporting increasing terrorist acts in recent years by Islamic State (IS) militants that were responsible for bloody blasts against mosques in different areas in the country. Endit
