The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Saturday.

-- The Chinese government has donated training machinery and equipment worth more than 3 million U.S. dollars for Zambia's training institutions.

Permanent Secretary for Education Owen Mugemezulu said the government had partnered with the Chinese government on equipping training institutions with modern training tools.

He said the gesture by the Chinese government would go a long way in empowering the young people with survival skills. (Times of Zambia)

-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu said there shall be no sacred cows in the fight against corruption, money laundering and drug trafficking in the next five years of his administration.

Lungu said the fight against the vices will be taken to all corners of the country, adding that fighting corruption in all its forms was a key tenet of democracy and good governance that his administration was not going to relent. (Daily Nation)
