136 more detained Myanmar nationals in Malaysia repatriated to home

A total of 136 more detained Myanmar nationals in Malaysia have been repatriated to home, official media reported Wednesday.

Under the sponsorship of two private organizations, the 136 detained Myanmar nationals, who have been issued Certificate of Identity, returned to Yangon Tuesday by a chartered flight from the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur.

The return of the 136 has brought the total being repatriated to Myanmar to 1,235.

There were 2,294 Myanmar nationals reportedly detained for various reasons in 11 camps in Malaysia.

Myanmar Ministry of Labor, Immigration and Population is cooperating with the Malaysian authorities to protect Myanmar migrant workers in Malaysia. Endit
