A car carrying seven people slipped off a mountain highway and plunged into Trishuli River at Ghoptebheer area of Chitwan District on Sunday evening in which three were killed and three others missing including a former Nepali minister, police said.

UNITED NATIONS -- UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called for the timely and full implementation of a peace agreement in Mali in order to bring peace and stability to the West African country, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters here Sunday.

The secretary-general made the appeal in his meeting here with Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita at UN Headquarters in New York late Saturday, Dujarric said. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the annual high-level debate of the UN General Assembly. (UN-Syria)

BUDAPEST -- Hungarian national police chief Karoly Papp believes the two police officers hurt by Saturday night's powerful explosion in downtown Budapest were actually the targets of the blast.

LAGOS -- At least 22 Boko Haram insurgents were killed during an attack in northeast Nigeria's state of Borno, the Nigerian Army said Sunday.
