Croatia's unemployment rate down for seven straight months

Croatia's unemployment rate declined for seven consecutive months in August, the Croatian Employment Service (HZZ) said on Friday.

The registered unemployment rate in August went down to 13.1 percent, a 2.1 percent decrease, compared with same period last year or 1.7 percent less than in July, it said.

Meanwhile, the Croatian National Statistical Office on Friday released that the average net salary in the country's corporate entities in July was 5,594 Kunas (about 839 U.S. dollars), 1.6 percent less compared with June. Endit
