Dollar changes hands in upper 100 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 100 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Friday, largely in line with levels seen overnight in New York.

At the beginning of trade, the dollar was quoted at 100.83-84 yen compared with 100.70-80 yen on Thursday in New York.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1206-1207 dollars and 112.99-103.00 yen against 1.1202-1212 dollars and 112.88-98 yen on Thursday in New York.

Markets in Tokyo were closed on Thursday due to a national holiday. Endit
