British FTSE 100 rises 1.12 pct on Thursday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday rises by 1.12 percent, or 76.63 points, to 6,911.40 points.

Share price of Glencore increased by 5.48 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Fresnillo, Randgold Resources, Antofagasta and TUI increased by 5.20 percent, 4.36 percent, 4.31 percent and 4.19 percent, respectively.

HSBC Holdings led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 1.94 percent, following by Informa (1.30 percent), Shire (1.07 percent), Pearson (1.02 percent) and Whitbread (0.82 percent). Enditem
