Chinese president exchanges congratulations with Lithuanian counterpart on anniversary of diplomatic ties

Chinese President Xi Jinping has recently exchanged congratulatory messages with his Lithuanian counterpart, Dalia Grybauskaite, on the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

Since China and Lithuania established diplomatic ties in 1991, the two countries have constantly strengthened political trust and enhanced pragmatic cooperation on the basis of respect and equality, and bilateral ties have witnessed remarkable progress, Xi said.

China attaches great importance to its relations with Lithuania and is willing to push forward bilateral ties and bring more benefits to both peoples, the Chinese leader added.

For her part, Grybauskaite said that the Lithuania-China ties have witnessed profound development in the past few years, and closer contacts as well as deepened economic and cultural cooperation have laid a solid foundation for further bilateral development. Endi
