U.S. stocks jump as Fed keeps rates unchanged

U.S. stocks posted solid gains Wednesday, with the Nasdaq Composite Index setting its new intraday and closing records, as the U.S. Federal Reserve left its federal funds rate unchanged after the conclusion of its two-day policy meeting.

The Dow added 0.90 percent, and the S&P 500 leapt 1.09 percent, while the Nasdaq increased 1.03 percent. Enditem
