Xinhua, September 21, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Design Intelligence Award (DIA),China's academy award in the industrial design field, is now collecting submissions from all over the globe.

Sponsored by the China Academy of Art and co-organized by the China Industrial Design Association, the DIA has four categories: cultural innovation, life wisdom, industrial equipment and cutting-edge technology. A total of 100 designs will receive awards next May.

Companies, organizations and individuals can join the competition. Submissions began September 19 and will end early next year.

Liu Ning, head of the China Industrial Design Association, said the award aims to help industrial design promote economic growth.

Qian Xiaofang, Party secretary of China Academy of Art, said the award will be a platform to showcase the excellent design in the world and promote industry and innovation.

This is the second annual assessment for the awards. The first DIA started in January, with 2,511 works from 30 countries and regions joining the competition. The final results came out May 8.

Hang Jian, vice president of the academy, said the award will cooperate with international events such as Milan Design Week, London Design Week and Helsinki Design Week, to enhance communication between Chinese and foreign industrial design. Enditem
