British FTSE 100 rises 0.25 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 0.25 percent, or 17.24 points, to 6,830.79 points.

Share price of Burberry Group increased by 3.61 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Shire, Johnson Matthey, Worldpay Group and Standard Life increased by 2.55 percent, 1.93 percent, 1.85 percent and 1.66 percent, respectively.

International Consolidated Airlines Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.56 percent, following by Next (2.84 percent), easyJet (2.71 percent), Kingfisher (2.10 percent) and Ashtead Group (1.78 percent). Endit
