China publicizes 96 new state-level martyr memorials

The Ministry of Civil Affairs on Tuesday published a list of 96 new sites commemorating martyrs.

State-level memorial facilities, the total number of which now stands at 277, honor those who lost their lives in major incidents, battles and revolutionary bases; influential figures; and those from overseas who sacrificed themselves in China's revolutionary war.

China now has more than 4,200 such sites at state and local levels, which see more than 150 million visitors annually. Endi
