For overseas markets, South Africa saw the highest increase in tourist arrivals from China by 64 percent for July 2016, the Department of Tourism said on Monday.
The number of Chinese tourists visiting South Africa increased from 5,402 in July 2015 to 8,858 in July this year, the department said in its latest update on tourism arrivals.
China replaced India by moving from 16th place to become South Africa's 15th source market, said Victor Tharage, Director-General of the Department of Tourism. (S.Africa-China-Tourism)

GENEVA -- The World Trade Organization (WTO) Deputy Director-General Yonov Frederick Agah welcomed on Monday China's ongoing efforts to increase the integration of the Least Developed Countries (LDC) into the global market amid promising South-South cooperation trends.

UNITED NATIONS -- China released on Monday its national plan for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
The plan was released by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang when he chaired a roundtable on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The plan consists of five parts, including China's achievements and experience in implementing the Millennium Development Goals, and the challenges and opportunities, guiding principles, roadmap and detailed plans of implementing the SDGs. (China-UN-Sustainable Development)

NEW YORK -- China stands ready to deepen cooperation with New Zealand in such areas as trade and judicial affairs, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said Monday while meeting with his New Zealand counterpart John Key.
China is willing to work with New Zealand to enhance political mutual trust and maintain high-level exchanges, and deepen cooperation in areas including economy and trade, and judicial affairs and law enforcement, Li said.
