A total of 25 people have been injured in an explosion in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan on Saturday evening, and the cause of the blast is under investigation, the New York City Fire Department said.

Police sources said an initial probe suggested the explosion occurred in a dumpster but the cause was

still undetermined.

Law enforcement sources believed an improvised explosive device caused the explosion.

Local media reported that New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio is rushing to the explosion scene. Enditem
