China's Dong wins discus F55 gold in Rio

China's Dong Feixia defeated Germany's Marianne Buggenhagen to win gold in the women's discuss F55 final at the Rio Paralympics on Saturday.

The 27-year-old recorded a season's best throw of 25.05 meters to beat Buggenhagen by 0.53m at the Olympic Stadium.

Latvia's Diana Dadzite claimed bronze with 22.66m.

"I've been waiting eight years for this, I'm very excited," said Dong, who finished fourth in the event at the Beijing Games. Endit
