China's Wu Guoshan recorded his longest throw of the year to win the men's shot put F57 at the Rio Paralympics on Saturday.

The 33-year-old threw 14.42 meters to beat Poland's Janusz Rokicki by 0.16m at the Olympic Stadium. Iran's Javid Ehsani Shakib claimed bronze with 14.13m.

Wu also competed at the London 2012 Games, where he finished fifth.

The impairment to the lower part of one of his legs is the result of a traffic accident in 2003. Endit
