Xinhua, September 14, 2016 Adjust font size:

Ukraine's Dynamo Kiev made its debut in this season's UEFA Champions League campaign with a 2-1 home defeat to Italy's Napoli at the Olympic Stadium here on Tuesday night.

The Ukrainian champion made it 1-0 on the scoreboard with 26 minutes into the game through a powerful shot by Denis Garmash into the bottom right corner.

Ten minutes later, Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik scored a quick equalizer and netted the second for Napoli at the dying minutes of the first half, sealing the win.

Both teams have produced several goal-scoring opportunities after the break, but neither converted the chances.

With the result, Napoli sits atop Group B with three points, followed by Portuguese Benfica and Turkish Besiktas with one point each. Dynamo remains without a point. Endit
