Sun wins China's first wheelchair fencing gold in Rio

Sun Gang claimed China's first wheelchair fencing gold medal of the Rio Paralympics by defeating Britain's Piers Gilliver in the men's individual epee category A final on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old won his maiden Paralympic title by taking the match 15-13 at Carioca Arena 3.

In the bronze medal duel Tian Jianquan of China beat Iraq's Zainulabdeen Al-Madhkhoori 15-11. Endit
