China's Zhang grabs third Paralympic shooting gold

China's Zhang Cuiping clinched her third Paralympic shooting gold medal on Tuesday by defeating Slovakia's Veronika Vadovicova in the final of the R8 50m rifle 3P SH1.

The 28-year-old finished with 455.4 points, 6.0 points ahead of Vadovicova. South Korea's Lee Yunri claimed bronze with 437.8 points.

Zhang also won the R2 10m air rifle standing SH1 and R8 50m rifle 3 positions SH1 gold at the London 2012 Games.

Her impairment is the result of polio, which she contracted aged three. Endit
