Zhao defends table tennis class 8 title at Rio Paralympics

China's Zhao Shuai successfully defended his Paralympic table tennis singles class 8 title with a straight sets victory over Hungary's Andras Csonka in Rio on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old, who had his left arm amputated when he was four after a car accident, won the final 11-5, 11-6, 11-9 in 18 minutes at Riocentro.

In the bronze medal match Poland's Piotr Grudzien overcame China's Ye Chaoqun 3-2 (11-6, 5-11, 11-9, 3-11, 11-3). Endit
