WELLINGTON -- A record number of overseas visitors, driven by a surge in Chinese tourists, drove a record for New Zealand's accommodation sector in July, the government statistics agency said Monday.
National guest nights in commercial accommodation for July were up 6.9 percent year on year, with international guest nights up 15.8 percent and domestic guest nights up 2 percent, according to Statistics New Zealand. (China-Visitors)

BEIJING -- Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Estonian counterpart, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, exchanged congratulatory message on Sunday to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between their two countries.
