Chinese prodigy Xu takes 50m butterfly S5 gold

Chinese teenager Xu Xihan beat Sarah Louise Rung of Norway to take gold in the women's 50m butterfly S5 at the Rio Olympics on Saturday.

Xu, 16, touched the line in 43.62 seconds, 2.05 seconds ahead of Norway's Sarah Louise Rung. Italy's Giulia Ghiretti claimed bronze.

Xu's visual impairment is the result of a car accident at age 13 months. Endit
