UAE strongly condemns North Korea's nuclear test

Xinhua, September 10, 2016 Adjust font size:

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday strongly condemned North Korea's fifth nuclear test, saying the move threatens the global peace and security, state news agency WAM reported.

The test constituted "a challenge" to the United Nations Security Council's resolutions and "poses a real threat to global peace and security," the UAE Foreign Ministry in Abu Dhabi said in a statement

It added that violating international norms was a "flagrant threat to and breach of the relevant Security Council resolutions."

"All necessary measures have to be taken by the international community to counter these violations and protect international peace and security," it said. Endit
