Vietnam annually detects 22,000 lung cancer cases

Xinhua, September 10, 2016 Adjust font size:

Vietnam spots some 22,000 lung cancer patients each year, while 19,500 people die of the disease, a seminar was heard Saturday.

In the next few years, the number of lung cancer patients in Vietnam will be likely to annually increase by over 34,000, local doctors said at the seminar held by the Ho Chi Minh City Tumor Hospital.

Most of lung cancer patients have been diagnosed late, so the fatality rate is high, said the doctors. Enditem
