British FTSE 100 rises 0.18 pct on Thursday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday rose by 0.18 percent, or 12.12 points, to 6,858.70 points.

Share price of Micro Focus International increased by 14.73 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. International Consolidated Airlines Group, Dixons Carphone, easyJet and Provident Financial increased by 3.97 percent, 3.96 percent, 3.73 percent and 2.91 percent, respectively.

Pearson led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 7.70 percent, following by Mediclinic International (3.31 percent), Burberry Group (2.36 percent), Admiral Group (2.33 percent) and Rolls-Royce Holdings (2.22 percent). Enditem
