3 die in subway tunnel collapse in Tehran

Three workers died in a subway tunnel collapse in the south of Iran's capital Tehran on Wednesday, ISNA news agency reported.

In the accident that took place at the subway workshop at 17:45 local time (1515 GMT), six other workers were injured, the report quoted Morteza Moradipoor, the deputy of Rescue Operation of Tehran's Red Crescent Society.

The search to unearth another worker, an Afghani citizen, is underway, Moradipoor said, according to state IRIB TV.

The results of the investigations for the incident cause will be announced soon, according to the reports. Endit
