Thailand will host the World Tourism Day under guidance of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) later this month.

Tourism & Sports Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul said on Wednesday that the World Tourism Day, which falls on Sept. 27, will feature a UNWTO international conference and celebrations during Sept. 26 to Sept. 29.

Besides, a workshop entitled "Tourism and Mass Media's Role Toward Equal Access" will be held in the Thai capital on occasion of the World Tourism Day, the tourism minister said.

Bangkok and Khon Kaen province in northeastern Thailand will serve as venues for activity related to the World Tourism Day, she said.

Representatives from UNWTO-member countries will attend the international forum and other activity during the period. Endit
