China, Portuguese-speaking countries to discuss cooperation at 5th ministerial conference

The fifth Ministerial Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries will be held here on Oct. 11-12, the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) government said on Tuesday.
Sponsored by the Chinese central government and hosted by the government of Macao SAR, the forum was created in Macao in 2003, with participation of seven Portuguese-speaking countries - Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and Timor-Leste.
The forum has achieved great successes under the framework of intergovernmental cooperation in trade, investment, human resources, agriculture, fisheries.
During the fifth Ministerial Conference of the Forum, Action Plans for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (2017-2019) will be signed to lay out the key areas and directions of the economic and trade cooperations between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
The ministerial meeting this year will bring new dynamism to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Portuguese-Speaking countries and to promote the economic development of participating countries. Endit
