Germany's benchmark DAX index little changed

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Monday was little changed and closed at 10,672.22 points.

The European Central Bank will decide on interest rates or possible new easing measures and the rate hike of the Federal Reserve still hangs in balance.

Investors on Monday seemed to lose impetus for investment, according to local analysts. The DAX index lost 11.6 points, or 0.11 percent.

Adidas topped the list of risers with an increase of 1.31 percent. The utilities company RWE advanced by 1.26 percent. Thyssenkrupp rose by 1.22 percent. Deutsche Lufthansa added 0.75 percent. Fresenius, a medical care company, climbed by 0.41 percent.

On the other hand, Vonovia, a real estate company, plunged by 2.2 percent. Commerzbank lost 1.63 percent. Infineon Technologies, a semiconductor producer, slipped by 0.84 percent. Bayer fell by 0.73 percent. Siemens fell by 0.55 percent.

Allianz was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 131.56 million euros (around 147 million U.S. dollars) Endit
