France calls on IAEA to verify Iran nuclear commitment

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN nuclear watchdog, has to verify Iran's plan to limit its nuclear power following the Vienna deal agreed on in July 2015, French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said Monday.

"It remains essential for the IAEA to follow up, transparently and in detail, Iran's implementation of it," Ayrault said.

"France remains vigilant about it being fully respected," he added at a meeting on Monday with IAEA director-general Yukiya Amano here. Endit
