Cuca eyes return to Chinese Super League

Xinhua, September 3, 2016 Adjust font size:

Palmeiras manager Cuca has revealed plans to return to a Chinese Super League club next year.

Cuca, whose birth name is Alexi Stival, coached Shandong Luneng in 2014 and 2015, guiding the Jinan-based club to the Chinese Cup and Chinese Super Cup.

He returned to Brazil this year and has taken Palmeiras to the top of the country's Serie A standings with 43 points from 22 matches.

In an interview with Radio Globo on Friday, the 53-year-old was asked if he planned to go back to China.

"Yes, that's what we aim to do next year," said Cuca, a former striker who was capped once for Brazil's national team. Endit
