British FTSE 100 down 0.52 pct on Thursday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday closed at 6745.97 points, down 35.54 points or 0.52 percent.

Share price of GKN increased by 4.79 percent, which topped the gainers of the blue chips. Other best performers included Berkeley Group Holdings (3.85 percent), Taylor Wimpey (2.67 percent), 3i Group (2.60 percent) and Persimmon (2.52 percent).

Hikma Pharmaceuticals led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.90 percent, followed by Vodafone Group (2.83 percent), GlaxoSmithKline (2.41 percent), Royal Dutch Shell Plc B Shares (2.16 percent), and Royal Dutch Shell Plc A Shares (2.15 percent). Endit
