China's top legislator meets Canadian PM

China's top legislator Zhang Dejiang met with visiting Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Thursday.

Zhang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, said legislative bodies of the two countries should continue to strengthen exchanges and dialogue, facilitate bilateral investment cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, and provide relative legal protection.

Trudeau said Canada is willing to work with China to deepen comprehensive cooperation, including cooperation and communication between legislative bodies. Endi
