Two persons have been killed after a car being chased by police lost control and crashed into a group of people walking on the pavement in southeast London on Wednesday.

The car was being chased by police vehicles before hitting pedestrians Wednesday afternoon, according to BBC.

The accident has led to two deaths, including a woman and a boy, and three injuries who are all girls and who have been rushed to the hospital.

Local police have arrested the driver of the reportedly stolen car, and he remains in custody at a south London police station.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission has sent investigators to the crash scene. Endit
