"Jason Bourne" dominates Chinese box office

"Jason Bourne," starring Matt Damon in the latest chapter of Universal's enduring spy franchise, topped the Chinese box office with 327 million yuan (48.9 million U.S. dollars) in the week ending Aug. 28, China Film News reported Tuesday.

"Ice Age: Collision Course" took the second place with 285 million yuan in tickets sales during its first week of screenings in Chinese theaters.

Domestic action comedy "Line Walker" was ranked the third, earning 79 million yuan last week. It has made 558 million yuan since hitting screens on Aug. 11.

Adventure film "Time Raiders," directed by Daniel Lee, dropped to the fourth place. The film has taken in 977 million yuan in ticket revenue since its release in China on Aug. 5.

Rounding out the top five was domestic romance "Love O2O" which has grossed 260 million yuan since its release on Aug. 12. Endi
