China, Japan, S. Korea vow to jointly ensure success of G20 Hangzhou summit

China, Japan and South Korea pledged on Wednesday to make concerted efforts to ensure the success of the Group of 20 (G20) summit to be held in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou on Sept. 4-5.

The pledge was made during the eighth China-Japan-South Korea foreign ministers' meeting which was held here on Wednesday.

At a joint press conference with his Japanese and South Korean counterparts after the trilateral meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the trilateral meeting was held in the run-up to the G20 Hangzhou summit.

He said the three sides have confirmed to strengthen cooperation to ensure the success of the G20 Hangzhou summit so as to inject fresh and strong impetus into the world economy. Endit
